2012年英語I的小作文難度不大，符合出題規律，并且題干很清楚地告訴各位同學，這篇文章所要包含的信息要點有哪些。如果各位同學掌握了我在之前的幾篇文章中講述的做題方法，那么，2012年的小作文很容易拿到7-8分。
首先，各位同學要根據之前講過的方法，審出四點關鍵信息。①應用文的類型(題干中的關鍵詞“email”就告訴了各位同學應用文的類型是書信);②書信的類型(大綱中規定的書信類型總共12種，但是根據關鍵詞“suggestions”就可以判斷此篇為建議信); ③稱呼語(這封信是寫給“international students”，“international student”是對方的一種職位，所以稱呼語為“Dear International Student);④寫作背景(一些留學生要到你就讀的大學學習，以學生會的名義給這些留學生寫一封信，歡迎他們的到來并為他們提供一些建議)。除此之外，還要注意署名為“Li Ming”，而不是“Students’ Union”。

在之前的文章《寫作保衛戰之—— 2014年英語I小作文》中，各位考生應該總結了建議信的思路：第一段，自我介紹，表明相關，表揚在先，提出建議;第二段，具體建議，附加原因(建議和原因都可以從日常生活的角度思考);第三段，表明期待。

小作文的考查很靈活，因此各位同學要根據考題靈活運用。雖然2012年英語I的小作文也在考查建議信，但是題干中要求各位考生要先表示歡迎，因此，各位考生的寫作思路要做調整：第一段，自我介紹，表明相關，表示歡迎，提出建議;第二段，具體建議，附加原因;第三段，表明期待。

Dear International Student,

I am a student in this university who has taken charge of the Students’ Union. All the students and teachers show our sincerest welcome to your coming. However, in order to make your campus life happy, I have some better suggestions for it.

Firstly, it is better to find more information about culture sites that arouse your curiosity. I am going to take you out a lot for the sites. What’s more, the university is located in the north of China and the temperature here is always quite low. So it is a good choice for you to bring more heavy clothes to protect you from deadly cold.
